Central Limit Theorems for Permuted Regenerative Estimators
We prove strong laws of large numbers and central limit theorems for some permuted estimators from regenerative simulations. These limit theorems provide the basis for constructing asymptotically valid confidence intervals for the permuted estimators.
متن کاملCentral Limit Theorem for Integrated Square Error of Multivariate Nonparametric Density Estimators
Martingale theory is used to obtain a central limit theorem for degenerate Ustatistics with variable kernels, which is applied to derive central limit theorems for the integrated square error of multivariate nonparametric density estimators. Previous approaches to this problem have employed Komlos-Major-Tusnady type approximations to the empiric distribution function, and have required the foll...
متن کاملMean Integrated Squared Error of Nonlinear Wavelet-based Estimators with Long Memory Data
We consider the nonparametric regression model with long memory data that are not necessarily Gaussian and provide an asymptotic expansion for the mean integrated squared error (MISE) of nonlinear wavelet-based mean regression function estimators. We show this MISE expansion, when the underlying mean regression function is only piecewise smooth, is the same as analogous expansion for the kernel...
متن کاملLimit Distribution of the Integrated Squared Error of Trigonometric Series Regression Estimator
Limit distribution is studied for the integrated squared error of the projection regression estimator (2) constructed on the basis of independent observations (1). By means of the obtained limit theorems, a test is given for verifying the hypothesis on the regression, and the power of this test is calculated in the case of Pitman alternatives. Let observations Y1, Y2, . . . , Yn be represented ...
متن کاملPointwise convergence rates and central limit theorems for kernel density estimators in linear processes
Convergence rates and central limit theorems for kernel estimators of the stationary density of a linear process have been obtained under the assumption that the innovation density is smooth (Lipschitz). We show that smoothness is not required. For example, it suffices that the innovation density has bounded variation.
